12PM-1PM: Atcheleh Aryee Sextet
Atcheleh Aryee is a 23-year-old trumpeter, composer and arranger. Born to a music-loving family in Ottawa, she spent her childhood immersed in all styles of music. In her high school years, Atcheleh would perform with several concert and jazz bands in the Ottawa area, pursuing the sounds of her inspirations Roy Hargrove and Freddie Hubbard. She went on to study music at Humber College in Toronto, where she honed her playing and compositional abilities under the tutelage of renowned musicians like Hilario Duran and Brian O'Kane. Atcheleh recently debuted her album, Pieces, and regularly performs throughout Ontario, with several projects in the works.

Join Alex Pangman, Canada's beloved Sweetheart of Swing, for an evening steeped in the glamour and groove of jazz's golden age. With her radiant voice, infectious charm, and deep knowledge of classic swing, Pangman brings timeless standards vividly to life - fresh, joyful, and irresistibly dance-worthy. A Juno-nominated vocalist, broadcaster, and devoted record collector, Alex is also the host of Swing Set on JAZZ.FM91, where she shares the stories and sounds that shaped swing's most iconic era. She has enchanted audiences across the country, from intimate jazz clubs to major festival stages, including three standout appearances at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Alex will be joined by The Sweet Hots, Drew Jurecka on violin, and Nathan Hiltz on guitar, for a performance brimming with warmth, wit, and toe-tapping swing. Step back in time and experience an unforgettable night of classic jazz.
